April 10 - The Facepowder Plot

The Facepowder Plot

They come dressed to kill made up for the job,
Prettily coiffed at the head of the mob.
They occupy streets, they occupy parks,
The torches they carry giving off sparks.

They say, "We're all victims if we're not rich as you,
You must surely have taken your wealth from us too.
We compete to see who's the most victimized,
Race, gender or sex are the reasons most prized."

"We all feel threatened, when you sit in church,
You look down on us we know from your holy perch.
We all feel oppressed. You're not miserable like us.
So the DNC loaded us up on a bus."

They've printed up signs for the aggrieved ones to carry;
Tell us who to bake cakes for whenever they marry.
They show us their pride with their junk hanging out.
Morally superior by how loud they shout.

When all that we wanted was to believe like we do,
The facepowder mobsters show up for the coup.
Fundamental change is what they're all fighting for,
Whether or not it's a change we abhor.

In the name of the people, we're told what to be thinking,
When faced with outrages we must accept without blinking.
Soon there'll be gulags if you don't conform,
And tyranny for all will be the new norm.

On one side the goats stand politically correct,
On the other sheep wander totally perplexed.
The lions are seeking whom they may devour.
But the Shepherd is coming, it's almost the hour.

We are His sheep and we see all the signs,
Our confidence grows, our confusion declines.
And the facepowder plotters we no longer fear,
Again liberty rises, for He soon will be here.
